Olga Pirozhenko

Bio note

Olga Pirozhenko is Lecturer in Slavic Philology at the University of Valencia / Coordinator of the area of Slavic Philology of the University of Valencia / Member of Research Group on Asian and African Studies RGAAS – GIEAA / Coordinator of the Slavic Committee at the Valencian Academic Association of Asian and African Studies/Member of the Board of Directors of AEPRU (Spanish Association of Russian Language and Culture Professionals). Had teaching experience at different Russian universities as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Spanish Studies.
Olga obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Valencia with a dissertation on Image of Russia in Valencian press. Her line of research includes such areas as public diplomacy, intercultural communication, image of countries, Russian-Spanish relationships, traditions and customs of Russian culture and Spanish culture. She has published articles dedicated to the Russian and Spanish languages and cultures, has participated in numerous international congresses and conferences. Olga has carried out bilateral projects related to the creation of Spanish language and culture centers in Russia and Russian language and culture centers in Spain. She was the General Secretary of the first Alliance of Russian and Spanish Universities in the history of Russian-Spanish relations. Her entire professional life to this day has been dedicated to bringing Russia and Spain closer together.
