Dr. Jordi Tordera with a career which spans cultural management, academia, and language education, combines academic prowess, extensive teaching experience, and a rich background in Japanese-Spanish socio-cultural exchange. He obtained a Ph.D. in English Philology from the University of Valencia, with a dissertation on Literary Contrastive Study stands as a testament to your academic acumen. Further enriching his profile is a master’s degree in Japanese Linguistics from Kobe City University of Foreign Studies in Japan. Tordera’s 18-year teaching journey, encompassing four Japanese and four Spanish universities, totals almost 6600 hours. At Florida Universitaria, his dedication reflects in diverse courses such as English for Video Games and Didactics of English for Primary Education. Additionally, his leadership in directing numerous academic papers and guiding theses underscores his commitment to education. Beyond teaching, his foray into international business goes from working with Lladró Japan’s marketing department, to the cultural management through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET) where he acted as a bridge between Spain and one of Japan’s local authorities. Tordera has worked as interpreter on several occasions, including an interview for a Spanish newspaper to the Japanese Nobel Prize in Literature, Kenzaburō Ōe.  Jordi Tordera is currently teaching at Florida Universitaria for undergraduate students in three different degrees, and in a master’s degree in Secondary Education. He has translated Japanese classic literary works from Kenji Miyazawa and Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, which were published by Satori Ediciones.
